About TD Aylesbury and TAYLZ FITNESS

Thank you for taking the time to visit TAYLZ Fitness. I'm TD Aylesbury. I'm a diabetes orphan and the only one of my parents' kids without diabetes myself. I have first hand knowledge and experience with the epidemic of lifestyle diseases. And I want to help.

After years of military service and climbing to the top of a small business mountain, I started TAYLZ Fitness to make a difference in my corner of the world, beautiful Tucson, Arizona.

I've been an athlete my entire life. I've played competitive sports, run marathons, and spent hours in the gym. Now I want to help others train to live life to the fullest, irrespective of disease, illness or injury. Together we can make life better.

I received my Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching Certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I have earned additional certifications in the specializations of Corrective Exercise and Sports Performance Enhancement. I have a BLA in Economics from Harvard. But all that is just paper. How much do you charge for personal training?

Everybody's least favorite answer...it depends. We don't charge by the hour. We have 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month plans. The investment you make will depend on your goals, motivation, and budget.

How can you guarantee results, even conditionally?

The media is severely lagging behind the science of nutrition. It's not about carbs or fat. It's not about hours of cardio. Our science-based plans are up to date, proven solutions to help you increase energy, lose weight, and not be miserable in the process. If you trust the process, follow the plan, and do the work, you will succeed.

How are your plans both individualized and Science-based? Don't those two contradict each other?

We use up-to-date principles of nutrition and exercise science to tailor programs and plans specific to your goals and preferences. There is no one size fits all or one size fits most at TAYLZ. Your plan will be for you and you alone.

I'm not sure I'm ready for a gym environment. Where do you train?

We can train anywhere we're allowed to by law. We can meet at your home, my home gym, a big box gym, or a park. We can even do The Loop! Training location will vary based on your goals, the session's plan, and our imaginations. Keeping it fresh will prevent the program from getting stale and increase your ability to enjoy the journey.

What if I've never worked with a trainer before and I'm not in the best shape?

Having never worked out with a trainer before actually works in both of our favors. We'll build trust together without having to undo any previous experience getting in the way. And if you're not in good shape now, you will be! We start with a strong foundation of stability, mobility, and balance and then progress to more intense sessions to build cardio vascular fitness, endurance, strength, and power.

Do you do classes or group training?

Most of our clients opt for private training, but we do offer semi-private, small group sessions for families, couples, or small corporate teams of up to 5 people. Sessions will be slightly less individualized, but everyone's goals will be addressed.

Do you offer Veteran discounts?

We offer a 10% discount to current Military, Veterans, First Responders, Nurses, and Teachers. We also offer a 10% paid in full discount for all of our programs. And because we love ya, discounts are stackable. #ThankYou

My schedule fluctuates. When are you available to train?

We train with our clients 6:00am-9:00am MTWThF, 4:00pm-9:00pm MTW, 3:00pm-7:00pm F, 6:00am-1:00pm Sat. We do not train on Sunday. We will consider on a case by case basis training sessions outside of these core hours, except for Sunday or Thursday evenings. All of our clients have been able to fit their sessions into this schedule. When you train with TAYLZ you are not locked into a time slot. We will work within our schedule to accommodate yours on a weekly or monthly basis. If you know that a specific time ALWAYS works for you, then we're happy to reserve that time for you.

I travel a lot for work. Do you have programs that accommodate a commuter work lifestyle?

We offer a hybrid in-person/virtual program for clients forced to travel. These programs require frequent communication to respect each other's time. Because work situations change, and hours can seasonally demand more or less travel, we do not offer 12-month hybrid programs, only 3-month or 6-month options.
